Day 185 - A Day Of Relaxation & A Night Out

Well today's blog entry should be easy.
We have 1 requirement of the day & that is to spend time at the beach.

After a really good sleep & a sleep in till just after 9am, we got dressed & walked down to the supermarket. Even in the morning, it's so bloody hot & we start to drip sweat within minutes.
Still, it's nice to get out, exercise, buy groceries & cook a meal for ourselves. Not to mention so much cheaper.
Once we got back it was shower time before breakfast.
We made some really filling quesadias with refried black beans, jalapenos, corn, grated carrot, grated cheese & fresh guac. With just a small amount of habanero bbq sauce.

After breakfast, which was more like lunch due to the time & portion size, it was time for beers & a whole lot of nothing in the pool!!
We lied out next to the pool for about an hour before a massive thunderstorm rolled over. It remained rainy & miserable for the rest of the afternoon & we both occupied ourselves with our preferred forms of media.
At one point, we did go & have coffee in a local cafe, everything was really nice until we left & I was walking across the intersection, holding Tom's hand with half a large coffee in a take away cup. The road was obviously slippery & I was wearing thongs. Combine this with my gumby-ness & I was always destined to fall over. I fell over really hard, in the middle of the road, in front of about 20 people!!! It was so embarrassing & actually hurt a bit. The funny thing was that about 3 of the locals who rushed over to see if I was okay also offered to sell us marijuana & cocaine "for the pain". hahaha

Sadly we didn't make it down to the beach because of the weather.

At 8pm, we both went downstairs tot he bar & join din on the free hour of drinking. We met a bloke called Lucas from Australia & a girl called Angelica from Columbia. We did the usual hostel things, such as Jenga, before meeting up with a group of men from Israel who were also staying at the hostel.  We decided to go out & see the night life.
Being a Wednesday night there wasn't too much going on & we sat at a few roof top bars, before finding one club that everyone seemed to congregate towards. Tom got his first drink for free & I had 30 minutes of free drinks.
I can't believe how much tequila I drank that night, it is really not my favourite drink & I'm not getting any better at drinking it.

I'm not sure what time we stumbled home and made it to bed, but it was a good night!
