Today I'm 26.... It's really unbelievable, I thought I would always be 21!
It was nice to sleep in, till the late time of 7am. At least its better than our recent wake up times between 3am & 5am. We all meet up on the roof top for breakfast & to plan today's activities.
I wear my new dress & white sandals that I brought last night, Nat is wearing her new shorts & singlet as well.
After the big day yesterday, I had planned for my birthday to be relaxed.
After breakfast we all booked in for a Thai massage across the road from our hotel before spending the rest of the morning by the pool.
Once we're finished at the pool & morning cocktails we went to a local restaurant for lunch. I was given free reign on the menu & ordered a lot of food for us all to share!
It was amazing! One of Thailand's best pad- thai's was consumed here.

Once we're finished at the pool & morning cocktails we went to a local restaurant for lunch. I was given free reign on the menu & ordered a lot of food for us all to share!
It was amazing! One of Thailand's best pad- thai's was consumed here.
After the food & beer it was time for a massage. We were all ushered in & lied down on the mattresses set up on the floor. There was a small dispute between the Thai women as they argued about who had to massage Dom.
It was a 1 hour full body Thai massage which involved a lot of awkward poking, pulling, pushing, prodding & manipulation.
The 4 Thai ladies doing the massages seemed to be in great spirits & were constantly laughing.
When they found out it was my birthday they got really excited & "happy birthday" was echoed around the room. The owner then asked me if we wanted to come out for "spicy bok bok" I have no idea what bok bok is. But whenever she mentioned it she would make a fist & punch her fist into her other hand while going "bok bok bok". It was quite funny & we couldn't make any English references.
I asked if it was vegetarian & she said "yes, it's chicken" I had to then explain that Tom & I don't eat meat. There was a chorus of "ohhhhhh wegetarian" as the ladies realised what I had asked.
There was other funny moments, mostly surrounding Dom's lady trying to manipulate him & the funny faces & noises she would make.
After our massage we went up to the roof top of our hotel to watch the sky change into evening & drink cocktails. Shortly after the sun disappeared, Nat & I went downstairs & got ready for the evening. We were going to wear make up! Something that has been a rare treat for me this year.

We were all going to a dinner buffet cruise along the main river in Chao Phraya River
There would also be live music, some dancing & the amazing view along the river banks showcasing Bangkok's buildings & temples lit up.
It was a really lovely night. The food was excellent, though the stampeding mob of rude people rudhing for it was not. The drinks were good & Dom ordered a bottle of vodka for the table.
I didn't have any complaints about the music or live entertainment. The view was obviously amazing especially Wat Arun, the temple we visited yesterday was majestically lit up against the dark night sky.
But the best part was having Nat & Dom there with us to celebrate.

I would like to write that after we went out & had an epic night in the club's.... But that would be a lie. We went home & went to bed!
