Agra - Jaipur
Our bus to Jaipur doesn't leave till 5pm. We've had a small success in linking a payment option to a booking app & purchasing our own bus tickets, yay!
I'm feeling a lot better than yesterday but still hesitant & overly cautious about the distance between myself & a toilet getting too big.
For this reason & the 43 degree heat, we spent the day at the hostel chilling out, Tom with a new TV series & I spent 5 hours reading Taj Mahal conspiracies.
I noticed while we were in the restaurant that at a nearby table a family of 3 well dressed Indians were eating with a scruffy & dirty little girl. She appeared to be homeless & they had brought her a meal. Once they left I could see her sitting outside in the dirt, it broke my heart.
When we left I got my food & wrapped it up in a bag to give to her. It gave me no joy, I will spend the next few days thinking about her, worrying about her life & wondering how she got there.

At lunch time it was more than 24 hours since I had eaten anything & we decided to tempt fate.
Not feeling like Indian food we were happy to discover that Agra had a McDonalds & that it was only a 10 minute walk away.
The McDonalds menu was unlike anything we had ever seen. No Beef or Pork options, only chicken & fish or vegetarian. It looked like there was 2 separate work sections in the kitchen for meat & vegetarian as well.
We both ordered Vegetarian Maharaja burgers in large meals with coke.
The icy cold post mix coke & salty chips tasted amazing & seemed to settle my stomach. The maharaja burger was enormous and the equivalent of an Indian big Mac with a veggie patty of corn & cheese, slightly spicy big mac sauce, red onion, lettuce & some mild fresh chillis.
Tom smashed his meal while I ate only half of my meal before reaching maximum capacity.

We left our hostel at 4pm & were meant to be taken to the bus station by a tuk tuk that Tom organized, unfortunately we were stood up, he never arrived! 15 minutes later we found another tuk tuk & we were headed for the bus station.
Another sleeper bus but with larger bunks & a smaller journey of only 5 hours. We arrived in Jaipur just after 10pm with no problems. Our hostel was right near the bus station & easy to find, one fo the easiest transitions between towns that we have ever encountered!
