Day 14 - Zhangjiajie, Wulinyuan District (Rest day)

 Zhangjiajie (Rest day)

Our first day in Wulinyuan District was dedicated to some mild exploring of the tiny town, tracking down a good coffee, drinking beer, relaxing in the common room of our hostel, finishing my book, updating the budget, planning the next 3 weeks of China topped off by eating a traditional Chinese meal of duck.

Its easy to forget to make room for rest days. They are an important part of our journey and the only way we will be able to maintain such a fast pace of travel through all the planned countries over this coming year. Thankfully we achieved all of the above & had a fantastic and restful day.

While we enjoy ourselves thoroughly on rest days, there is not a lot of inspiration. Writing about them holds me to my promise of an entry per day, but it doesn't really make for an interesting read.
Here is some photos I snapped while hunting the streets for coffee!
